Meet our Pastor
Pastor Donald R. Brown Jr.
Pastor Donald Brown Jr. was born on October 9, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, to his devout parents, Donald R. Brown Sr. and Angela Wilson. He was a resident of Chicago until the age of 9 before relocating to Saint Paul, Minnesota. Pastor Brown graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 2001.
He was introduced to the Church of God in Christ by Minister David Hurst. He was invited to attend Free at Last Church of God in Christ, where he later became a member under the leadership of Superintendent Joseph Webb, II. Pastor Brown accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 15. He later received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost during a revival in December of 2007.
In June 2008, Pastor Brown acknowledged his call to the Gospel Ministry and preached his first message. Pastor Brown received his ministerial license in May of 2009 and was ordained an Elder in August of 2012 by Bishop Fred Willis Washington, Jurisdictional Prelate. Pastor Brown served as a faithful member of the United Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Celester L. Webb for 20 years. God spoke to Pastor Brown in the fall of 2020 and began to prepare him for the next level of ministry, which was pastoring. Over the next couple of years, God took him through the preparation process needed to launch out as a pastor. During the preparation process, God led him to the scripture text; Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, those which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted”. In January of 2023, God led him to start Restoration Ministries, where he currently serves as pastor.
Since January 2013 Pastor Brown has served faithfully as the Assistant Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant. He presently serves as the elected Secretary of the Jurisdictional Council of Pastors and Elders, a role he has held since December 2014. In 2020, Pastor Brown was appointed as the Jurisdictional Goodwill Ambassador by the jurisdictional leader Bishop Fred Willis Washington.
Pastor Brown has been employed with the City of Minneapolis for 15 years. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Correctional Program Support Services at the University of Phoenix, which is set to complete by the end of January 2023.
Pastor Brown is married to his wonderful wife BriAnna Brown, whom he met at the age of 14 in their local Purity Class. They are the proud parents of 4 children Myr’Acle, Donald III (Tre), Destiny, and Faith, who are affectionately known as “The Brownies.”
